CPD Opportunities

The first webinar is on Wednesday 31 January 2024, 4-5pm, aimed at both primary and secondary staff.  It will cover using the Ofsted PE Report (Sept 2023) to reflect on practice and unpicking the deep dive at primary and secondary level and will be delivered by Steve Caldecott (Ofsted Inspector (Lead PE)). via zoom –– link below:

The second is a face-to-face session to be held on Wednesday 6th March 2024 for primary staff – ‘Active Birmingham Workshop – Getting Your School Moving ‘ – including input from Modeshift Stars, Daily Mile, Active Lessons (Teach Active) and Swim England - 9-2pm at Avery Fields, Birmingham – link below:

Youth Sport Trust project called MLB First Pitch

The project aims to:

- Increase the confidence and competence of staff to deliver baseball within their school

-To give young people the opportunity to access an exciting new sport

-To connect local schools with club baseball opportunities in the local area.

What’s on offer?

-3 hour staff CPD course on Monday 26th February from 10am – 1pm at 79 Trinity Road, Aston, Birmingham, B6 6LS.

-Free MLB First Pitch kit for every school.

-MLB First Pitch support resources to allow delivery back in school.

-Exclusive invite to a MLB First Pitch festival in the summer term.

-Access to London Major League Baseball tickets.
